I'm a detail-oriented and hardworking professional with a background in Marketing, Human Resources, and primarily, in different capacities as a journalist for the past 4 years.  As an undergraduate student at USD, I predominantly wrote feature articles on students, staff, and members of the greater community. That's where I developed a vast interest in meeting and building relationships with new people, along with highlighting some of their unique accomplishments. I learned how to identify newsworthy, relevant elements of a pitch-able story. I also held the role of Copy Editor, which allowed me to hone my copyediting and writing organizational skills across various content types, from sports to news.

I'm equipped with a versatile writing skillset due to my experience in both Broadcast News and Print Journalism. After my stint in print journalism, I've since held 2 different internships in broadcast news, which led me to my present role as a content producer through NBCUniversal in the Bay Area. Over the past year, I learned to tailor my communication and writing style for online and television audiences, which traditionally steer toward more concise and simple language. In my present work, I independently research, conduct outreach to local agencies, and write stories for millions of people watching at home. I'm a curious-minded and self-assured professional who can cover virtually any category—from crime, technology, science, business, international news, entertainment, and more.
